Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Data Migration Lead, to support a large-scale enterprise transformation program migrating legacy platforms into Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end data migration workstream, ensuring legacy data from multiple enterprise systems is accurately assessed, transformed, and migrated into the target Dynamics 365 environment. You will work closely with architects, functional consultants, and engineering teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and successful delivery across multiple migration cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Data Migration Strategy
Define and lead the overall data migration strategy for migrating legacy data into Dynamics 365.
Assess legacy data sources including mainframe systems, SQL databases, flat files, and enterprise platforms.
Establish migration frameworks, governance models, and repeatable migration cycles.
Define data quality, cleansing, and transformation standards for the program.
Data Analysis & Mapping
Lead data discovery, profiling, and analysis across legacy systems.
Define source-to-target mappings between legacy data structures and Dynamics 365 Dataverse entities.
Identify data quality issues and define transformation and normalization rules.
Collaborate with functional teams to ensure mappings align with business processes.
Migration Execution
Design and oversee migration pipelines using tools such as, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Azure Data Lake, Dataverse APIs, and ETL frameworks
Manage multiple migration cycles including, initial migrations, mock migrations, and final production migration
Optimize migration performance and reliability for large enterprise datasets.
Data Validation & Reconciliation
Define data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Partner with functional teams to validate migrated data against business requirements.
Establish data quality monitoring and exception management processes.
Program Collaboration
Work closely with functional consultants, solution architects, integration teams, and testing teams
Support UAT preparation and cutover planning related to migration activities.
Governance & Documentation
Maintain key migration artifacts including, data mapping documents, transformation rules, data dictionaries, migration runbooks, and data reconciliation reports
Ensure documentation supports auditability and long-term maintainability.
What We’re Looking For
7–12+ years of experience in enterprise data migration and integration programs.
Experience supporting large-scale CRM or enterprise transformation programs.
Strong experience migrating data into Dynamics 365 / Dataverse environments.
Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL tools, and large datasets.
Experience working with legacy enterprise systems including mainframes.
Strong expertise in SQL server, data transformation and cleansing, data mapping and reconciliation
Experience executing multiple migration cycles and production cutovers.
Strong understanding of data governance and data quality management.
Nice to Have
Experience migrating data into D365 CE, D365 Sales, and D365 Customer Service
Experience working on large government or healthcare transformation programs.
Familiarity with Agile delivery models and Azure DevOps.
