Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Azure SQL Server Specialist with advanced technical depth across SQL Server architecture, performance, high availability, and administration. The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert capable of troubleshooting complex reactive scenarios, driving technical excellence, and collaborating effectively with both business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and secure configurations.
Handle SQL Server Core/Engine operations including performance tuning, clustering, Always On Availability Groups, migration/upgrade, and patching.
Manage SQL Server maintenance, security, and operational troubleshooting with end-to-end ownership.
Drive reactive scenario management — from root cause analysis to clear action planning and closure.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions aligned with client expectations.
Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, application owners, and technical counterparts.
Provide technical leadership in escalations, mentoring, and decision-making.
Support related components such as Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Azure Data Services.
Maintain punctuality, ownership, and professionalism in all client interactions.
Commit to continuous learning and completing relevant certifications/accreditations.
Required Technical Expertise
In-depth understanding of SQL Server architecture, concepts, and evolution across versions
Expertise in high availability solutions (Failover Clustering, Availability Groups)
Strong experience in performance optimization, migration/upgrade, security, and maintenance
Proven troubleshooting skills in SQL administration and reactive scenarios
Working knowledge of Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Azure Data Services
Non-Negotiable Requirements
Ability to deliver immediately with minimal ramp-up or training
Flexibility to work in assigned shifts (no night shifts)
Availability for occasional weekend support based on client needs
Onsite presence as required for delivery or client engagement

Confident and composed under pressure, effective escalation handling
Clear presentation and stakeholder management abilities
